Mission and Vision
MISSION
Our mission is to offer architectural designs based on the lifestyle and needs of the users and on the nature and character of the Quezon City and Manila setting in the creative yet detailed way, in the same way as in believing in the goal of architecture: making architectural designs work and worth living. We are also conformed to the principles of architecture and to the laws of the land, strongly supporting and solidly proving every design approach we make. We contribute to the Philippine architectural and world architectural market scene by being competitive in creating accurate, reasonable, and long-term designs which are worth inspiring and aspiring. in addition to this, our goal is to be known and remembered for being one of the additions to the Philippine architectural firms who are open-minded and truly concerned, sending architecture known to the populace both local and foreign.

To consistently and continuously be a firm composed of teams who are open to work with those aspired to learn and work for architecture through other discipline with enough considerations, as well as becoming a firm that thinks of a long-term and considerable design solutions suited to the Philippine setting, allowing living to be worth more living. To become one of the strongest collaborative links with other trusted firms of related goals in collaborating and providing efficient and sustainable architecture to the public both Filipino and foreign. To become known and memorable for being one of the competitive Filipino architectural firms in the Philippines who are contributors to its identity, beauty and character.

The Company Behind the Lines
THE COMPANY
The DB Design Blocks is a Filipino-based architecture and design studio located in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is founded by its principal architect, Ar. Denver C. Briones, uap., after working several years as an junior architect/architectural intern for over 10 years in Maryland, USA. The studio was first started as a visual presentation and research documentation studio before becoming an architecture and design studio, though they still include visual presentation and research documentation as one of their services, and has worked on for almost five years with 100 dedicated professionals - composed of architects, engineers and business-related people. When architecture and design entered the studio, it started to make architectural proposals for the benefit of their clients, both local and foreign.
DB Design Blocks have various teams comprising of architects and engineers of various specifications, researchers, consultants and construction workers, with goals of providing architectural design solutions and a network of contributors while gaining competence in the architecture world market. The firm believes in the phrase "Architecture should be the nature of man," implying that the designs of the buildings should be conformable to the movements and circulations of its users, regardless of architectural identity.
THE MAN BEHIND
Ar. Denver C. Briones, uap., is a Filipino architect born in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines and is skilled in arts and music. After graduating from Quezon City Academy, he then chose architecture as his way of using art in helping and serving people. So he studied architecture in the University of the East-Caloocan for 7-9 years and graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Architecture. Throughout his stay in the university, he is known for his friendliness, humor and creativity which have been enhanced from time to time. After graduating from UE-Cal in 2021, Briones decided to work on-the-job training in the Manuel L. Quezon University for 2 years before passing the Architectural Board Exam in 2023 and working abroad in Maryland, USA for 10 years.
While Briones is a professional architect in his time, he is also a professional writer and author who wrote short yet meaningful stories and collections of poems (both meter and free-verse written). He also has interests on visual arts and dancing of various styles, in addition to wide knowledge on gaming and music. In the latter, he has tastes on any musical genre, except the darker genres of metal music. He is also a certified lover of logos, wanting to analyze those made by his professors or from famous people and also making his own.
THE DB DESIGN BLOCKS LOGO
The logo of DB DESIGN BLOCKS is composed of three D's drawn in diagonal position and arranged in a check-like pattern. In the pattern, the first D raised higher than the other two lower D's. When viewed normally, the three D's reveal the last two D's to be the letter B; with the first D, it comprises the initials of the principal architect. The logo imbues the philosophy that "architecture should be between nature and man," and its check-like pattern symbolizes outstanding work quality. The first D symbolizes the firm's goal of architecture with the other two symbolizing the nature and man as main considerations of architecture.
